Camping

Our site, Camp Loma, has plenty of room for your tent or van. There are bath-houses with flush toilets and warm showers. There are no cabins or beds. So come prepared with whatever you need to sleep comfortably.

Food:

Our caterers will provide meals from Thursday dinner to Sunday breakfast. There will be omnivore, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. You can bring any food you need for a special diet, though there may be limited fridge space. There will be coffee and tea available.

What if I can only come for part of the gathering?

There are no single-day tickets, or partial weekend tickets. We prefer everyone to be present for the whole event. If you need to miss a small portion of the weekend, that is okay, but there is no discount available for this. Please do not ask. Seriously.

Internet & Cell Phones:

There is no cell phone reception or wi-fi at Camp Loma.

What if it rains?

Our gathering is mostly outdoors, so we may have to cancel if it rains. If we do need to cancel, due to extreme or unexpected conditions, all registrants will receive a full refund, minus $50. That way we will all share the fixed costs that would be unrecoverable due to the cancellation.

Arriving:

Soul Village starts Thursday afternoon at 3:00. You can arrive any time after 2:00 pm. Please do NOT arrive before 2:00. Dinner is served at 6:30. We prefer that people come for the full gathering, so we can all settle in together. Thus, there are no discounts for partial attendance.

Soul Village concludes at noon on Sunday. Lunch will not be served.

Where is it?

Driving times to Camp Loma from the bay area are:

110 minutes from SF or Berkeley/Oakland,

130 minutes for Marin county,

40 minutes from San Jose,

40 minutes from Santa Cruz.

Children:

Soul Village will not host a children’s program. Children or teens can participate under the supervision of their caregivers, but they must purchase a youth ticket. We ask that all children be clearly guided to not distract the focus of the whole group activiites.

Pets:

Please leave your pets at home. Sorry, no exceptions. No need to ask.

What about drugs or alcohol?

Soul Village is a drug and alcohol free space. At this event we want everyone to stay tuned into each other and the music, not mind-altering substances.
